Appreciate the moments, both good and bad.

Good moments bring hope.

Bad moments bring lessons

And life yields wisdom between the two.

Health In Progress

What does it take to start a fire never the river with stones, wood chips and a matchstick?

It only takes one spark with consistent effort.

You do not need to transform everything. With one meaningful changed behavior, a lot can happen after. Under the right circumstances, with just the right amount of effort, changes that evolve, they can “catch” to create the health and life you aspire to have.

In every aspect of life, we try to start afresh, new habits, new goals, new vision, new diet, new exercise, a new concocted cocktail that most times derails us because it is too many “new” things at the same time. Most times, it is all directed on a Monday, on the first day of the Year, on a birthday, after a breakup, when something goes wrong.

But change does not always have to be a complete overhaul of everything. Sometimes the ripple effect of one changed behavior creates space for better decision-making. Because transformation is not the spark itself. The spark is where transformation begins.

Weekly Brain Snack

One behavior can change the conditions surrounding another.

Question for this week:

“Which small change would make another healthy choice easier?”

Weekly Poetry

that tingling feeling that leaves you questioning the moment,

the jolt of electricity firing through your body, pushing you to do the things you said you would do

that inexplicable magic inside of you, bottled up waiting for the right moment,

is nothing but the spark waiting to set you free, and free it is, if you decide.

The 7-Day SPARK Protocol

S - Select one meaningful health behavior

P - Prepare the environment for it

A - Anchor it to something already consistent

R - Repeat it often enough to learn what helps or interferes

K - Keep what works and adjust what does not

Track it. Manage it. Sustain it.

Remember, it is not about perfection but rather about the consistent steps that help you observe and adjust. If you were recently diagnosed with a chronic illness, struggling to adjust to your medication, knows someone who was recently diagnosed, what is one way that, by applying the SPARK protocol, they would be able to make the changes?

Designed for people living with chronic illness, caregivers, and health-conscious individuals, it transforms health management from an overwhelming task into a structured daily practice.

Closing Thought💭

Looking at how far you have come may take the weight off how far you need to go if it is seen with gratitude. Looking at how far you have come may hamper your progress if is seen with eyes of regret.

Looking at how far you need to go may stimulate your progress if your goalpost remains true to your self-worth, confidence and values, with an open-mind for the sinusoidal aspect of life. Looking at how far you need to go with anxiety that you will never make it may keep you stagnant.

Transformation there lies in the effort to work consistently at the spark, not knowing if the outcome will be what you anticipated. Life, by itself, comes without warnings sometimes, intimidating in other moments yet if we remain present, savoring the moment, we allow ourselves the change to transform.
